Bulk Find & Replace Tutorial: Regex Replace and Blank-to-Delete

2026-09-20 · Card Tools

Once you have a batch of card data, you usually need to make bulk edits: swap the prefix of a certain batch, strip extra characters out of card numbers, or update an old platform marker to a new one. With Text Replace, enter a Find what and a Replace with, and the whole batch is handled in seconds.

1. Typical use cases

2. How to use it

  1. Paste the card or text data to process into Original Text; multiple lines are fine;
  2. Type the text to find into Find what;
  3. Type the replacement into Replace with; leave it blank to delete everything found;
  4. Click Replace and the result appears on the right, ready to copy or export as a TXT file.

3. Example

Find what OLD-, replace with NEW-:

OLD-CARD1001 → NEW-CARD1001 OLD-CARD1002 → NEW-CARD1002

Find what -, replace with blank (delete):

CARD-1001 → CARD1001

5. FAQ

Q: Is my replaced data sent to a server?

A: No. Everything is done locally in the browser; card data is never uploaded, archived or cached, and it is released when you close the page.

Q: Does the search box support regular expressions?

A: The search term is parsed as a regular expression. Plain text still works as a normal replace; if special regex characters cause errors, the page will warn you — then switch to a plain-text search term.

Q: What happens if I leave Replace with blank?

A: Blank means delete everything that was found.
